Directional Drilling, or Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), is a trenchless method for installing pipelines, conduits, or cables along a controlled underground path without open excavation. Using a steerable drilling rig, crews create and enlarge a bore to pull in the product pipe—making it ideal for crossings beneath roads, rivers, and developed areas with minimal surface disruption.
